Welcoming William
Lifestyle newborn sessions have slowly but surely become one of my favorite styles of sessions to do! Being welcomed into people's homes to capture this precious stage for their family is never short of an honor.
I was so excited to be invited by the Blackwells to their gorgeous Signal Mountain home for their newborn photos. They are such a treasured family to me. They have been with me since the beginning of my business, when their firstborn was just 6 months old! Now she is 3 years old & has a baby brother!
Helping Deaton & Breanne welcome their second baby was such a joy!
Little details like fingers, toes, and wispy newborn hair just melt my heart! How precious is baby William!?
Something I love about lifestyle newborn sessions is being able to bring my portable studio set up into people's homes. This gives me the opportunity to get images of baby alone in a more "posed" way.
With this set up, I can capture those little details up close with a clean background that helps make baby the center of attention.
Even though the studio set up provides a great backdrop for getting detail shots, nothing beats that personalized feeling of images of baby in their nursery! I love how Breanne decorated William's nursery with a simple white crib. Dressing him in this white onesie with blue dots helped make him stand out against the grey sheets. This combo photographed so beautifully & makes for such timeless newborn photos!
I know how unnatural getting your photo taken can feel for some people. It can feel especially stressful for parents when they have a toddler to get dressed & direct to get their photo taken. I love that lifestyle newborn sessions bring some peace and comfort to families since they don't have to even leave their home. I've found it makes the process so much more relaxing than having to load everyone up in the car to go to a studio.
Bradley, William's older sister, got to watch Bluey & eat snacks when it wasn't her turn to take photos with baby brother! I'd call that a win for a toddler!
